DAY 1 - (Tuesday 21st April) Istanbul
Welcome to Istanbul, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, meet your guide and the rest of your group. Overnight Istanbul
DAY 2 - (Wednesday 22nd April) Istanbul old city
After breakfast, you enjoy a fully guided tour of the only city to span two continents, visiting the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace and the Hippodrome. Tonight you get to know your travelling companions a little better and enjoy some Turkish cuisine at your welcome dinner. Overnight Istanbul (B, L, D)
DAY 3 - (Thursday 23rd April) Gallipoli Battlefields
Depart for the Gallipoli peninsula early morning and tour this now serene site. Visiting original trenches and tunnels, ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, Johnston's Jolly and The Nek before a short ferry ride across the Dardanelles.Overnight Guzelyali (B, L, D)
DAY 4 - (Friday 24th April) Troy
Today, we visit the archaeological ruins of Troy. As soon as we are able we will cross the Dardanelles to the Gallipoli peninsula and head straight to the Anzac area to secure the best spot possible. Overnight ANZAC Cove (B, L)
DAY 5 - (Saturday 25th April) ANZAC Day at Gallipoli
At the ANZAC Dawn Service we will commemorate our fallen forefathers on this special day. We also attend the Australian &/or New Zealand Memorial services before returning to our hotel for some well deserved rest. Overnight Guzelyali (B, D)
DAY 6 - (Sunday 26th April) Istanbul Archaeological Museum
Today we have a late morning departure back to Istanbul. This afternoon you will visit Istanbul Archaeological Museum which has a large collection of Turkish, Hellenistic and Roman artefacts. Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey and today we also have the chance to learn how the carpets are made by hand and what determines their value. Overnight Istanbul (B)
DAY 7 - (Monday 27th April) Istanbul
After breakfast our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends and are transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
